Early Days Workshops |
Early Days workshops are for mothers, fathers and other family carers of children aged 6 or younger who've been recently diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder or are going through the assessment and diagnosis process. What are workshops?Workshops are information and discussion sessions of small groups led by Early Days trained facilitators that will help you apply practical ideas and strategies to your own situation.
Where and when are the workshops held?Early Days workshops will be held in city, regional and rural centres across Australia, whenever and wherever there are four or more people in an area interested in attending one. What happens in an Early Days workshop? We offer high quality learning experiences in small groups. This involves a mixture of pre-workshop reading, information, and discussion designed to help you apply practical ideas and strategies to your own situation. Who can attend? Our workshops are open to mothers and fathers, or others who have the primary caring role of a child 6 or under with a diagnosed or suspected Autism Spectrum Disorder. This includes Autistic Disorder, Aspergers Syndrome and Pervasive Development Disorder – Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS). How much do they cost?Early Days is fully funded by the Australian Government, so all workshops are provided free of charge to parents and family carers.
