Specialist Support Group

Early Days caters for diversity and recognises the importance of adopting an approach that emphasises respect for each individual family's goals, values and beliefs.

The following specialist partners have been engaged to ensure Early Days meets the diverse needs of Australian families:

Licia Kokocinski, Advocacy, Disability, Ethnicity, Community (ADEC): focus on families from culturally diverse backgrounds
Dr Richard Fletcher, Family Action Centre (University of Newcastle): focus on fathers

In addition, the Secretariat of National Aboriginal and Islander Child Care (SNAICC) will be supporting the development of a strategy for meeting the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.

Early Days is part of the Australian Government Helping Children with Autism package.
